The best thing about the brand split is that at least one show won't have Roman Reigns on it.
Honestly, I like Roman Reigns. Not his character, his character is crap, but he is a good wrestler. WWE just need to have him return at battleground as a full heel, with new everything.
I mocked him earlier but in all seriousness, I don't think he's that bad and I actually agree with you there.
But I also think part of the problem is that they pushed him too the moon before he was ready and before the fans had fully accepted him, which caused the fans to reject him. It didn't help matters that they responded to that rejection by trying to force him down the fans throats.
It is literally the exact same thing that happened with the Rock when he was still Rocky Maibia. The real problem with WWE is Vince McMahnon. I just wish that he would retire and let HHH have all control in booking.
I think the problem with Vince is his obsession with control and that extends to the audience. He dosn't see them customers and instead thinks that they work for him.
It also dosn't help matters that ever since the attitude era, the fans have been conditioned to see the company itself as the bad guy. As a result they will automatically dislike anyone who has the machine behind them.
Yeah, there is a good 2 part video talking about Vince (It's by What Culture Wrestling, don't know if you've heard of them.)
But yeah, the company are meant to be heels, whether that be vince or the authority or wahtever. But I honestly don't think that is what contributes to the Roman hate. I think it stemmed from him having potential, but being squandered, like so many before him *cough* Punk *cough*.
Honestly Roman reminds of Kevin Nash in a way. He was an awesome heel as Diesel and then transitioned into being a cool anti hero, but once he became a straight up face he became a total flop.
Exactly, it seems to be something that is a trend within WWE/WWF, especially with the characters Vince "Likes" (He liked Nash, Liked Rocky, and likes Reigns)
I might be a bit bias since it's my favourite wrestler I'm talking about. But I think they should make Aj the guy, at least on a temporary basis. He's arguably the best in ring worker in the world and while he isn't great in terms mic skills and personality, he's way better in that regard than anyone gives him credit for.
During that time they can properly build up either Roman or Balor.
I support the notion of having Ambrose be the main man right now in contention with Rollins, but AJ should definitely be pushed again, which I think he will be, after this thing with JC blows over.
I think that the 2 people who really deserve pushes, all the way to either of the Championships (Since the WWE and WHC are seperating for split again) are Balor and Owens.
I like Balor but I think his character needs a bit more work. He's a great in ring work, he has a great look and he has an amazing entrance. But his character is just so bland.
With AJ it's now or never with him. He's nearly 40, they have a very limited window of opportunity before he's past his.
Yeah, I agree with Balor, which is why I would prefer an Owens push. I feel that Balor could have an incredibly interesting character, if creative got their feet out of their mouths for once.
As for AJ, I want him to get a push in the triple tag team division. The Club v The Bloodline v The New Day v The Wyatt Family. I think it would be awesome tbh
Nakamura is also one to build up. He's arguably second only AJ from an in ring standpoint and his charisma and personality are off the charts.
Yes, Nakamura is probably my favourite wrestler at this point, although that position is tied with Banks,Rollins and Owens.
AJ v Nakamura is a wrestlemania main event worthy match tbh, that will be insane (I mean, just look at how good Zayn v Nakamura was.)
I always thought it was amazing how at home he looked in a WWE style match. Compared to how awkward and out of place Itami looked.
Yeah, it's quite clear that Itami had a hard time adjusting from Japanese style wrestling, whereas Nakamura fits right in.
This whole talk reminded me of an RP idea I had a while ago lol
Wasn't Itami a heel in Japan? That should be the story line they go with (since he's back in action on the house shows).
Since it's obvious that Nakamura is going to beat Balor and move onto challenge Joe. They should follow that up with a Nakamura vs Itami feud. The story can be that Itami is resentful because he spent so long in NXT and didn't go anywhere, while Nakamura came in and was immediately a huge hit.
Yeah, but I think it would be better for Nakamura to win the title from Joe, then Itami comes and rivals Nakamura. Then Nakamura beats him, but loses the title afterwards, back to Joe or someone else (Aries perhaps?) and then debuts on Main Roster.
Out of curiosity have you ever watch OSW review. Because that is something I would recommend to any wrestling fan.
Yeah, I do watch OSW review. I'm a bit of a wrestling fanatic lol, and watch most things wrestling related.
I think it's kind of hilarious that Virgil actually got salty over them making fun of him.
Yeah, that was funny.
