All too true, I think his wanting to lead a satisfied life, and put aside his life of necessity would be an interesting route to explore....good find, I'll mull that over for how i want it implemented.

Come to think of it, it'd be interesting if i went with the idea I had where in some parts of Remnant him and his brother hood were Wanted Men.

All right folks I am BACK after ages with another revision of Silene. You guys gave me a lot of good feedback last time and I was able to implement some of your suggestions.

I mostly went back to the first design which was very visually striking, but needed some further refinement in terms of artwork. I gave her an exposed left shoulder with "kill count" tattoos (and a nice blank spot for a Schnee snowflake, just in case) and completely changed the pauldron on her right shoulder to a more "practical" design with less going on which her tattered scarf-cape-thing attaches to. Also on the right arm is a layered bracer, similar to the ones worn by Raven. Her gauntlet has moved to the left arm for some added asymmetry and now features a small deployable shield alongside huge clawed glove meant to be used as an arrester for slowing her down or anchoring her (like the Abyss Watcher's knives in Dark Souls 3).

She still smokes and has her White Fang mask, they're just not in this image. I'm going to run back over her weapon and bring it up to par as well, I'll post that here when it's done.

@Reaar some things to get you started. Does he have a reason he is good at catching bandits, a motive or a reason he has insight in how they think. How did he get the arm? Was it taken by bandits, did he get the arm to make him stronger so could fight.

    Name: Yue Kuma

    Character theme:
Moon Bear, Japanese mountain spirit representing lonely person and loving mother

Race: Faunus Bear with a small bear tail as her animal aspect

    Sex:
    Female

    Age: 19

    Job: Student Huntress

    Symbol:

    upload_2016-11-27_22-33-46.png

    Appearance:
    upload_2016-11-27_22-36-10.png

    Weapon:
Savage Elegance: a compound bow and nest of bees/quiver of arrows. The arrows compress so more can be carried in the quiver. the arrows themselves are based on Chinese fire-arrows rockets. When fired from the bow the rocket acts as a booster increasing the range and striking power of the arrow. When fired from the nest of bees/quiver you get a volley of fire-arrows increasing volume and rate of fire. For close in combat the bow folds around the handle becoming large brass knuckles/stun gun , the quiver folds out into an arm shield a few of the arrow tips poke out to become punching spikes and can still be fired as rockets.

Semblance: Second Soul: Her aura expands and takes the form of a massive bear around her. It gives her better protection and cushions her from blows. In this form she is tapped into the animal side of her nature its stronger and more powerful but works more on instinct instead of reason. Besides forming the whole bear she has a more limited form of the second soul were she just forms parts of the bear to use some of its strength.

History: Yue's parents were huntsman who had gone rouge and were wanted in several of the kingdoms. so the fist part of her life she grew up outside the kingdoms in a small community of humans and faunus. As a young child, Yue knew nothing of her parents past they were just mom and dad. When she was 9 her parents separated Yue went with her mother and moved to a small city in Mistral. Yue started to attend a combat school wanting to become a huntress to protect people.

While in Mistral Yue had her first exposer to the larger world and prejudice against Fanus. Yue started to hide her tail and pass as human. Her mother on the other hand, radicalized and join the white fang. Yue refused to follow her mother to the white fang. A few months late Yue's mother lead a white fang attack on a shopping center, Yue and her school friends were caught in the attack. Yue's mother took this opportunity to expose Yue as a faunus to her school friends and that her mother led the attack. After the white Fang attack Yue's life was not the same. most of her school friends either separated from her or outright rejected her. some did it because her hiding what she was other because she was the daughter of a terrorist. Yue left mistral looking for a new start she made her way to becon acadimy.

Personality: Yue tries to affect a calm and focused demeaner of an archer but underneith that is the rage of a bralwer that comes out when provoked. yue finds it difficult to trust people but those that do gain her friendship she will stand with them thou thick and thin.

Alright, here's the first draft of Team SINA. There's probably mistakes and there's probably shitty aspects to these characters; any and all feedback is welcomed. I understand that the personality sections may seem a little dry, but I'm just bad at translating personalities in my head into written word (I have a similarly hard time even trying to describe my own personality). I apologize for the disappointing lack of pictures, which would help make a lot of things clearer; I haven't drawn them yet.

For frame of reference: Aileron is an island city-state between Vale and Atlas, a sort of successful Oniyuri that was founded shortly after the Great War. The city sits on the island’s coast and is walled in from the rest of the island, having its own port and a tiny militia/Huntsman school (called Bastion). The city is ruled by an elected council, but also has a figurehead king/queen that is a graduate of Bastion and serves an elected life term until retirement, death, or impeachment, at which point a new king/queen is elected. Outside the wall is the evergreen desert, an area of farmland that gets its water supply from an underground river. Beyond the desert is the Origee land, the Origee being a native Faunus population inhabiting the island since before Aileron was established, with their own language and culture (think of them to Aileron as Native Americans to British Pilgrims).

    Name: Stepan Gylden

    Partner: Fulvus Augusti

Team Status: Leader of Team SINA

Role in Combat: Traditional Melee Knight

    Name Pronunciation: Step’-an Gil’-den

Color: Gold; “Gylden” is indirect Old English for Gold (literally: Golden), and Stépan is Old English for “to honor, to exult.”

    Inspiration: Beowulf

    Age: 17

    Species: Human

Emblem: Hourglass/Lineage (Pictures for all these things coming soon, I know that some descriptions don’t make sense to anyone but me).

Appearance: Average height (5’ 9”). Grey eyes, long blonde hair parted in the middle, fair skin. Typical Scandinavian/Nord, no?

Clothing: Beginning at his head, gold circlet with three amethysts embedded in the front (yes, like the ones in Skyrim), and draping down from the circlet is brass chain mail that extends down to his neck, with upside-down-U-shaped-cutouts for his ears. Banded leather armor over a purple, long-sleeved tunic and white pants tucked into leather boots. Some metal armor pieces, including a gold breast plate (which is actually his axe/shield weapon), and gauntlet for his right (wielding) hand.

Weapon: Stored as his breast plate, it is a 12” gold buckler shield with a center and edges that detach and serve as his weapon, an axe. The double-headed bearded axe’s beards can shift upwards and touch each other above the shaft of the axe, and the entire metal head spin, so as to create a massive, brutal drill.

History: Great-Grandson of the first king (the one before the one before the current one), and he lets people know it—he believes his ‘noble blood’ is destined to once again hold the throne, after the “bumbling fool” currently sitting on it keels over or retires. Father is a council member and avid politician, also graduated from Bastion. It’s a pretty militaristic family + awkward trophy wife of a mother.

Personality: Holier-than-thou and stuck up. Not a guy you want to really hang out with, unless you’re into slowly getting beaten down by proxy of his bragging. He has a contorted, though stout, sense of pride and honor that he madly defends when challenged, and he dearly loves family and believes that blood relation brings with it both entitlement and burden.

Semblance: Lineage’s Wrath. He can call upon his deceased Huntsmen Ancestors and adopt their fighting style; his eyes drain from stark blue to white and he is surrounded by an ethereal shell shaped like the called ancestor; this shell controls his movements and fights for him until the enemy is either defeated or he is injured enough to break the summon, dispersing the ancestor and draining Stepan’s semblance and aura.

    Name: Fulvus “August” Augusti

    Partner: Stepan Gylden

Team Status: Member of Team SINA

Role in Combat: Blunt Force Brawler with Ranged Support

Name Pronunciation: Ful’-vus Aw-gus’-tī; Fulvus is a translation in Latin for “Bronze-colored, tawny, yellow-orange,” and Augusti is an epitaph of Hercules’ that is translatable as “protector of the ruler,” referencing his partnership and henchman-like status in relation to Stepan.

    Color: Bronze

    Inspiration: Hercules (Roman version)

    Age: 18

    Species: Human, Male

    Emblem: Meh.

Appearance: Huge in stature and highly muscled, with an extremely tanned, leathery complexion, auburn hair pulled back into a man bun, a dusting of facial hair, and muddy yellow eyes. Square face with hard jawline and cleft chin.

Clothing: Parody of a toga that’s barely there and a bandolier of ammo, the toga in a khaki color, plus leather armor bands around his biceps and forearms, the same around his calves, and simple sandals. He has a wide leather belt adorned with ~6” metal circles around his waist that anchors his weapon onto the small of his back.

Weapon: A macahuitl (Aztec club with obsidian embedded in it to deliver blows that both cut and are brute-force) that’s also a gun, firing the stones embedded in the macahuitl in bursts of 3. Low muzzle velocity, top-loaded magazine (of more stones/rounds), sight on the side, long body and short exterior barrel.

History: His father was a scavenger resident of the desert of Vacuo, but moved himself and his wife to Aileron after Fulvus’ conception, afraid that he would not be able to protect two dependents from the arid area’s threats. They settled in the evergreen desert, relatively far from the wall, and as such have been ironically battered by the elements and rogue Origee bands for all of Fulvus’ life, no better off than if they had stayed in Vacuo in terms of safety, though their supply of food is substantially better. While the Origee have never outright attacked Fulvus’ family, they are generally hostile and elusive, disallowing interaction and seeming more beast than human to him, which his mind has exaggerated into them being simple creatures of compulsion, untrustworthy and unpredictable.

Personality: Dumb Brute; a simple man with simple pleasures. He often relies on Stepan to give him directives, and greatly enjoys the satisfaction of finishing a given task—it is largely what drives him as a person. This is essentially a direct product of two things: his lackluster intelligence, and his upbringing; growing up on a dangerous farm and being raised by a former desert-dweller, he has had it drilled into him that disobedience can be deadly. He despises Faunus and believes them to all share the same ‘primitive inspirations’ held by the Origee.

Semblance: Steel Resolve; If tasked with an objective, he can become immovable, unable to be staggered unless he finishes the trial or his aura breaks (yeah, this one is really shitty, I need to think of a better one. Suggestions?)

Notes: Fulvus is a caricature of Hercules that emphasizes the three aspects of Roman Piety: blind devotion and obedience to family, country, and divinity.

    Name: Nestor Mavrodaphne

    Partner: Gamilu Iqnu

Team Status: Member of Team SINA

    Role in Combat: Medium-Ranged “Trapper”

Name Pronunciation: Nes-tor’ Mav-rō-daf’-nē; Nestor is a Greek name meaning Traveler/Homecoming, Mavrodaphne is a red grape native to the area of Greece that Odysseus called home.

    Color: Wine Red

Inspiration: Odysseus, with reference to Dionysus (god of Wine and Ritual Madness/Ecstasy)

Note: the ancient Greeks did not have a formal word for the color blue, and in Homer’s Odyssey the literal translation of the sea’s color is “the wine-dark sea,” hence the association of wine with Odysseus that is seen in this character.

    Age: 19

    Species: Human Male

    Emblem: Cracked Compass pointing Northwest

Appearance: Pointed chin, clean shaven (no hint of beard), sunken eyes that always look sleep deprived, thin and expressive eyebrows; for hair, a quiff and sides shorn short, in a maroon shade. Light violet eyes. Thin build, with long arms and legs. Perpetually slouched.

Clothing: Tall-collared captain’s coat in dark mauve with gold accents, stops at pants in terms of length in front and has long coattails in the back. Crisp brown pants with pleats and creases and a braided belt in gold. Suede red-wine dress shoes, pants cuffed at the ankles. His socks constantly change, and are hardly ever repeated, often not matching his regular outfit.

Weapon: A ridiculously large sword almost half was wide as it is long with shotgun barrels running perpendicular to the edge, fired to increase swing velocity. Has a collapsed form and two alternate combat forms: sword-whip variant and twin 4-barrel harpoon gun variant. (Hard to explain without pictures).

History: Son of a captain that works in Aileron’s bay. As a boy, he attended Signal in Vale to prepare him for Bastion, but on his return trip home his vessel’s captain was slain by a Grimm that jumped aboard, and the ship controls and supply stores were badly damaged; him and the other survivors lured the Grimm away via his semblance and spent the next two years of their lives slowly island-hopping their way back to Aileron as they gathered food and shoddily repaired their boat, but supplies were scarce and Grimm ambushes and disease ran rampant; he was ultimately the only survivor, and is seriously rattled and disturbed because of the ordeal, despising the sea and poverteous living, as he had to do it constantly for more than 500 days (hence his obsession with crisp, fancy attire).

Personality: Clever/cunning, with a hint of insane. He is ingenious and will play other people to his advantage, a real snake with a silver tongue, and is often an outright deceiver. He is also somewhat unstable and outright crazy from his time stranded at sea and on islands of varying foliage and climate.

Semblance: Illusion-based: he is able to make copies of things in a radial repeating fashion and become whichever he wants, a la kaleidoscope; for example, if he lunged forward with his sword, he could make it seem like there were six of him in a circle, each lunging outwards, and he could be any one of them (kind of a short-distance teleport, I guess?) or if he were to fire one of his harpoons, he could make it seem as if there were three harpoons moving towards three people, and the real harpoon could be whichever of the three he wanted it to be (but only one of them); the other two would vanish like Blake’s shadows whenever they touched a physical object.

    Name: Gamilu Iqnu

    Partner: Nestor Mavrodaphne

Team Status: Member of Team SINA

Role in Combat: Melee, automatic close-range cover fire (like Blake and Ren’s pistols)

Name Pronunciation: Gamilu = “Relentless” in Akkadian, Ik’-nū = Lapis Lazuli/Azure Blue in Akkadian

    Color: Lapis Lazuli Blue/Grey

Inspiration: Gilgamesh/Bilgames and Anu’s Bull of Heaven (The Epic of Gilgamesh, a divine bull that Gilgamesh kills).

    Age: 17

Species: Male Bull Faunus (Bull horns)

Emblem: You guessed it, … meh. WIP.

Appearance: Long oval face, with a big nose and pronounced eyebrows. Deep blue, curly hair that sits shortly on his head but is brought into a short braid at the base of his neck (mullet-esque). Deep blue eyes. Mutton chops for facial hair, same black, curly hair. Slightly shorter than average height, and stout, with a general muscular ‘thickness’ to his body.

Clothing: Black alb with its bottom half unbuttoned (line of buttons from top to bottom on front), wide metal bracelets (12” diameter) that house weapons and keep sleeves poofy; similarly baggy, pastel-blue pants that conceal feet/shoes. (Desperately needs picture). Blue stone “bracelets” around his horns, one per horn to start, more as time goes on.

Weapon: A Roman Scissor that rotates between blade and club (the one not actively being used sits in the forearm casing—if you look up a picture of a scissor, you’ll understand), when the automatic pistol perpendicular to forearm fires (bullet exits hole in giant metal bracelet) the moving slide on the pistol spins the scissor between its two attachments. Pistol can be fired once to switch or continuously to shred enemies with the pseudo-sawblade created by the spinning scissor.

History: Descended from the Origee that embraced Aileron when it was founded, and thus has strong cultural ties of pride and heritage to the land and the Origee as well as the inhabitants of Bastion. His mother and father are Faunus (both bovine) that live within the wall. His father is a senior dust miner and his mother manages the finances of a ranch that lies outside the wall, owned by a cousin who inherited it.

Personality: He is heavily superstitious and particularly believes dreams to be messages from spiritual ancestors with important meaning. He hardly cares for what happens to those around him, and has trouble sympathizing with others. He is often obsessive, and once he desires something, he will relentlessly strive for it until he has achieved it. This can often emotionally drain him and weigh him down, however.

Semblance: He can carry literally anything up his sleeves, defying seeming volume constraints, a-la-Mary Poppins’ Carpet Bag. However, he is still encumbered by the weight of whatever object(s) he is concealing. Think of it similar to inventory/carry weight in an RPG. This is particularly useful for deflecting projectiles; if the bullet is shot into his one sleeve, he can instantaneously “store” it and “dispense” it out of his other sleeve, essentially just redirecting the bullet—usually back at its source. (Yeah, this semblance kind of sucks and will probably be changed, I was going for his obsessive attachment to things personified).

So I posted here before but I'm gonna post again I need some feedback on my OC. Before I start, a few creator's notes:
-This character is based on robin hood
-This character is a tribute to my older brother
-I also inspired his character from the 1930's New Orleans jazz scene
    Name: Ghost Stone
    Age: 17
    Height: 6'0"
    Weight: 135lbs
    Handedness: Left
    Physiology: Slim and slender
    Hair color: white
    Hair style: short spiky afro
Likes: showing off, hanging out with friends, acting, jazz music, stand-up comedy, dancing
dislikes: people who lack a sense of humor, competition, bad acting, terrible music, bad vibes
    Weapon: Black Hornet
    Semblance: Strike A Pose
    Birthplace: Vacuo

Personality: Ghost resembles the personality of a jester, often exuding a spontaneous and outlandish mannerism. He loves to always be in a good mood, believing every moment should be lived to the fullest. He enjoys being in the spotlight and being able to lighten up a stressful situation. His jokes often are a metaphor or a realistic depiction of the situations of the harsh reality of the world he lives in. He also speaks his mind and shows little regard for feelings.

Character Flaws: Despite his happy-go-lucky personality, Ghost also has a devious dark side. Often, he rejects the idea of hard-work, always opting for the easy way out. Due to this, he is seen as lazy, and lackadaisical by his teachers and adults. His quick wit and even quicker tongue can deliver the most condescending, cynical, critical, and insensitive jokes at the wrong place and the wrong time. Or when he is upset or facing an opponent or a villain. He is known for wasting time and procrastination, or just simply not showing up and then making up some elaborate lie he finds funny. With that said, Ghost is also a very convincing liar, and has gotten him in lots of trouble. It also earned him the reputation of a trickster.

    Weapon: Black Hornet
Ghost's weapon is named Black Hornet. Since his weapon is a spear, the tip of the spear is sharpened to the point of a hornets stinger and the handle is polished black, hence the name Black Hornet. The spear tip is compatible with lightning dust and when he stabs it, it electrocutes his opponent. In the middle is a grip handle for a long bow and when he bends the spear back, the spear conceals itself as the ends of the once was spear curls inwards the prosthetic string attaches to either side to form a bow. Ghost has arrows on his back that are dust compatible.

    Semblance: Strike A Pose
This is semblance is inspired from Neo's semblance and Blake's semblance. However, there are are a few stipulations. In order for the effect of the semblance to work, he must be in a pose, a dance pose in specific. This semblance also only works in defensive or evasive mode. So,when he strikes a dance pose, his after image takes the damage and shatters in glass as the real Ghost gets away harm free. He can only use it twice in a ten second interval and the side effect of the semblance leaves him fatigued. This semblance is manifestation of not only his spotlight loving personality, but also his trickster alter ego.

    Theme song:

Back Story: Ghost was born to a mother and father who were formerly famous. His mother was a Broadway dancer and his father was an actor and comedian. His mother is also a huntress. In his early life, Ghost lived with is parents with zero problems. However, it changed when he had over heard his mother and father arguing and fighting and seen his father walking out the door not shortly after. Ghost was ten when this happened. From then on, Ghost's father was in and out of his life, leaving Ghost wondering why his father would leave. Each time he blamed himself. So, in order to cope with his father issues, he began acting out. He started lying and getting in trouble with authorities. This caused a lot of friction between young Ghost and his worried mother. No wonder how much she tried to whip him in shape, he still was mischievous.

One day, when Ghost was twelve, she decided to send off with his uncle, assuming he'd do better with him. Ghost's uncle did teach him discipline and understood why he was acting out. He taught Ghost how to wield a bow and arrow and when he felt he was ready, sent him to Beacon Academy. Ghost now wants to prove that he will be a better man than his father, and travel the world and meet new people.

@G1zm0g3ar Like the character I see the jazz aspects in it but beside the bow I don't see how Robin Hood represented in the character.
