Here is where you can file any grievances with the new rules, or suggest rules.

I completely understand the 'no flirting' rule, but I don't really agree to the 'no pet names' rule. I feel that as long as both members of the party agree to the nickname, then it should be allowed. For example, I call @LaserPigeon 'Pidgey' pretty much every time I talk about her/to her. She's fine with it, and it doesn't really harm anything or cause grief among our other members.

Thats not so much a pet name, as a nick name.

Oh. I understand now. I didn't know that we were making a distinction between pet names and nicknames.

Pet names, atleast as far as the rules are concerned, are the sort of thing you'd only call someone in private company. The rule is more for Discussion threads and threads where it makes little sense to be calling people by them

E.g. It wouldn't be appropriate for me to use pet names for Ember in threads about lore Discussion.
But if said thread was a thread where flirting was a common thing, Pet names are allowed.

Like I've never seen a thread where you've called her Pidgey, where it wasn't a casual thread where it would make sense for you to call her that.

I think that rules are strict but fair, such rules about creation of threads for example had me abit confused but I understand the reasoning behind it. I think these rules will be good for everyone in the long run :D

I really like the "delete inactive threads" rule. We should start on that asap. And by we I mean the people who can do that.

Yeah we really don't need a sonic thread if we already have a perfectly good gaming thread

And we definitely don't need any more 'So......Topix X' threads.

Seriously, go have a look at the General Chit Chat area, and look at all the 'So....' threads.
