Neat, But anyways to throw my 2 cents in, it seems that Qrow doesn't create good luck for himself per say, more like he just makes any potential situation for anyone nearby progressively worse, case in point, his fight with Winter. It seems like a serious case of, excuse the term, bad luck, that Ironwood, was nearby enough to be notified that a subordinate of his was fighting and was near enough to walk there in time to catch the middle of the fight.

And yet it was lucky that he was protecting RNJR for 6-8 months without them suffering any injury. Or that he was able to step in just in time to block Tyrian from stabbing Ruby. If he was truly creating misfortune for others, he wouldn't have been able to succeed in these things. RNJR would have gotten hurt because he let a Grimm slip through or something. And yet here we have Qrow acting as a guardian angel instead of a bad luck charm.

This is why his "bad luck" is all in his head. He's focusing on the negative and forgetting about the fact that without him, RNJR might not have made it this far in the big bad world.

Yes but mabye there is an area around him, like an invisible bubble that makes people have bad luck. Qrow said when he is around other people the can have bad luck. He never really explained why he didn't fight with team RNJR except for being bad luck. We saw the seen of him killing grim for team RNJR and he was far away.

That argument falls apart when he was standing right next to Ruby when he successfully blocked Tyrian's stinger at the last possible moment and she suffered no misfortune from it. I'd say that's pretty fortunate, and this whole "keeping his distance to avoid causing misfortune" is a figment of his depressed imagination, a beautiful lie he told himself because he's so depressed and feels so worthless that he can't do good for anyone.

What you have to understand regarding someone who is depressed like that and has a low sense of self-worth is that their logic is inherently flawed by the faulty assumption that they truly are worthless, when in reality they are not and they're just forgetting about all the good things that they have to offer. So because this false assumption of worthlessness is blindly accepted as true, it skews the person's entire way of thinking, leading to statements like the ones Qrow made about how all he does is cause pain for others and that he's unfit to be around the people he cares about.

However, we all know that Qrow is not worthless, so why are people believing Qrow when he says he's worthless and that this worthlessness is the product of some imaginary "bad luck" following him around? To accept Qrow's statements as literally true is to say that he truly is a worthless person, and I highly doubt anyone would make that claim, right?

He's not unlucky. He's depressed (and drunk), and he's not thinking straight.

EDIT: You want to know the REAL reason why Qrow kept his distance from RNJR and why the Grimm focused on Qrow instead of RNJR? Remember, Grimm are attracted to negative emotions, and Qrow is about the most depressed motherfucker in Remnant right now, especially after he failed to stop the bad guys from executing their plan to destroy Beacon and kill Ozpin and Amber, on top of his already low self-esteem that he drowns in alcohol. Had Qrow been traveling with RNJR this entire time, the Grimm would be constantly be harassing RNJR. Instead, with Qrow trailing behind, RNJR passes through unscathed while the Grimm focus on Qrow.

That's about the only possible "bad luck" that can actually be attributed to Qrow: the fact that he carries so many negative emotions with him that it attracts Grimm to him whenever he travels outside the protection of the kingdoms and towns. In this regard, his "bad luck" is nothing more than a self-fulfilling prophecy spawned by depression.

There's a reason why his semblance is a crow: they may be symbols of bad luck but they don't ACTUALLY CAUSE bad luck to happen. They just get a bad rap because people are superstitious and illogical on the subject, the same illogical thinking at the source of Qrow's depression.

Well Jeff Williams relayed that Qrow's themesong's (the song playing during the Qrow v Tyrion fight) is likely going to be called Bad Luck Charm. So I am not sure if Qrow really was just being metaphorical or his semblance is truly bad luck.

When Qrow was talking about how academies protect the relics, it show Beacon, but there are no green glowy circles in Beacon tower, or any circles at all.
    Just saying.

The Relic would obviously have been hidden (Salem's Grimm can't seem to find it).
